Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications responds to Hoang Thuy's lawsuit: will investigate if public opinion is drawn

At the regular meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City (DIC), confirmed that the Department had received the complaint from supermodel Thanh Hang. At the same time, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City invited the supermodel to work.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City has instructed the parties to comply with legal regulations. He emphasized that the authorities will conduct investigations and handle cases according to the correct procedures if they detect acts of exploiting cyberspace to attract public opinion, insult others, or provide false information.

Previously, Thanh Hang filed a complaint against model Hoang Thuy, sent to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thanh District Police. In the complaint, Thanh Hang said that the false information about the "Miss Universe Vietnam 2024" program had seriously affected her and related parties. Therefore, the supermodel requested legal intervention to protect the legitimate rights of herself, her family and partners from the negative effects of false information.

In the complaint, Thanh Hang mentioned Hoang Thuy, claiming that Hoang Thuy took advantage of social media to attract public opinion, slandering her as the one who caused Hoang Thuy to not be selected as a judge at MUVN 2024.

Previously, supermodel Thanh Hang filed a complaint against model Hoang Thuy, sent to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City and the Police of Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Supermodel Thanh Hang affirmed that recently, false information related to the program "Miss Universe Vietnam 2024" has greatly affected Thanh Hang personally as well as related rights holders.

Realizing the need to protect her legitimate rights and interests as well as protect her family, friends, brands, and related partners from the negative impacts of the incident, Thanh Hang, through her legal representative, sent an official document to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City and a number of other competent authorities, requesting legal support to resolve and handle individuals and groups of subjects who provide and disseminate false information.

In the complaint sent to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hang mentioned Hoang Thuy and said that her juniors had directly mentioned her name to direct public opinion to attack and slander her as the one who caused the incident that prevented model Hoang Thuy from being a member of the jury of "Miss Universe Vietnam 2024".

On July 11, Hoang Thuy said she was removed from her role as a judge for "Miss Universe Vietnam 2024" despite being invited by the contest's president - Mr. Valentin Tran. The model was upset that she was removed because a member of the jury objected to her judging.

In subsequent posts about "being oppressed in the profession", runner-up Hoang Thuy used phrases such as "Chi chi em em" and "Beauty scheme". On July 16, Hoang Thuy posted a photo of a message with the content "Thanh Hang doesn't want" causing Hoang Thuy's fans to continuously visit her personal page and the female model Thanh Hang represents to attack, leaving many rude comments.

Because of her straightforward personality, Hoang Thuy has often caused a stir on social media. In reality, that is not the case. The first runner-up - Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 later appeared in a photoshoot for a famous designer's new collection. This image was recently posted by runner-up Hoang Thuy on her personal page.

In these moments, she still maintained a radiant, fresh demeanor and seemed to be unaffected by the recent incident. Runner-up Hoang Thuy's posing skills were still highly appreciated and did not disappoint the public. The photo series was full of "beauty queen" qualities, showing off everything from her sexy body to her beauty and demeanor.

After this photoshoot, she continued to accept the invitation of a young designer to perform for her graduation project. Runner-up Hoang Thuy wore a long, baggy red dress with prints imbued with East Asian culture.
