At first, I supported the people with rice, noodles, milk, soy sauce... then supported emergency care, oxygen, then went to the hospital to buy beds, fans, ambulances, medical containers, then worried about the items and means to support cremation and burial..."

"When my sisters and I were very young, my mother took us to the temple to do charity work. Our family was not well off, so at that time my mother and I bought some bananas to give away with the temple meals to the poor. We just kept doing it and got used to it, and I didn't think about what charity work was for. I especially love orphans, so I often prioritize giving them gifts. Every year, I save money to buy moon cakes, buy clothes, buy boots for the children, especially those in the highlands.

One year we went all the way to Lang Son, rented a truck to carry bricks and stones to the poor areas to give gifts to the people. Seeing the children with clear, radiant eyes receiving the gifts, I felt so much love. So, no matter what I do, I always think of trying to give back to the children and the poor," Viet Huong added.
