Born and raised in a non-artistic family, at the age of 16 he moved to Ho Chi Minh City to establish a career. At first, without the support of his family, the male singer struggled to establish a foothold. Quach Tuan Du used to carry food, help in the kitchen, and prepare food to have money to cover his life.

Appearing in the program Vietnamese Family Shelter (aired on HTV7 channel on June 30), singer Quach Tuan Du shared about his personal life that attracted the attention of the online community.

Quach Tuan Du choked and shared: "When I was 10 years old, my father suddenly passed away. After watching football, my father vomited blood, transferred to the hospital and died. struggling to support 5 children. She was a very strong woman when she went through many difficulties alone. She had to sell her house and land to raise her children."

After the event of losing his father, Quach Tuan Du had to drop out of school in 9th grade because his family was too difficult. He also used to sell lottery tickets, toads of guava cane pins, bread, pepper cakes, beef cakes,... to help his mother take care of the family.

Talking about the dangerous events that happened in a row in his life, Quach Tuan Du said that he had four accidents that nearly died.

According to the male singer, the first time was being hit by a taxi while sitting behind a colleague's motorbike. The male singer fell and hit his head on the road, unconscious. He was taken to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) in a coma. Fortunately, the doctor's emergency treatment in time should have escaped death.

In the second accident, Quach Tuan Du stood near an exploding gas furnace in the restaurant. He suffered severe burns, and it took a long time for intensive treatment and great expense to recover.

The third time he almost died was when he lost control of the wheel and plunged the car into the river just after finishing his performance. Fortunately, when the car was almost sinking, he was able to open the door and try to swim up. After that accident, the male singer himself was always haunted and it took a few years to dare to get behind the wheel again.

The fourth accident was when Quach Tuan Du was positive for Covid-19. At that time, ventilators were scarce, he thought he could still cope, so he refused to use them and gave them to other patients. Until his condition worsened, unable to breathe, he thought he would not survive. Fortunately, the doctor intervened on the ventilator in time and narrowly escaped death.
