The singer of "Because of Love" confided: "Currently, after 5 days of emergency treatment, Kasim's health has improved and his jaw has also reduced swelling. The doctor has allowed Kasim to go home to rest. Because of his stiff jaw, Kasim cannot eat anything but drink liquid food (liquid food like canned milk). In a week, he will see the doctor again so they can plan a jaw bone transplant surgery.

Kasim is doing quite well now but is still a bit tired from the antibiotics, and his jaw is still a bit sore so he has to take painkillers every day. There are so many messages asking about him but please forgive him because he is tired and in pain and cannot reply to anyone at the moment.

In 2023, Kasim Hoang Vu revealed that he had osteoarthritis of the jaw and had to undergo surgery for bone cysts in his jaw and neck. The disease caused his face to become crooked and part of his chin to become deformed.
