The return of artist Hong Dao in the Vietnamese film market in recent months has not only attracted attention because of the series of film projects in which she participated, but also by the unexpected appearance of her youngest daughter â Sophia.
Having declared that she did not want to enter the entertainment world because she did not like the noise, Sophia voluntarily returned to Vietnam from the US to work as an assistant to her mother, taking care of and supporting her during filming.
This action surprised many people. Not only a gesture of affection, Sophia's choice is seen as an implicit statement â a gentle but weighty "ultimatum" to her famous father, who now has his own life with his lover who is 37 years younger.
No speech, no noise, no criticism, but the unwavering presence by Sophia's mother is considered the definitive choice. While her mother is busy with two film projects in theaters at the same time, her daughter is the one who quietly supports behind the scenes, from behind the scenes to taking care of personal activities.
On the side of artist Quang Minh , he rarely mentions his old family. Recently, he has been constantly appearing with his new girlfriend â Tang Khanh Chi â who is 37 years younger than him, and their common son, Dustin. At his girlfriend's birthday party in July, Quang Minh comfortably brought Khanh Chi's two stepchildren to the party, openly taking care of him like a family member. Previously, a series of photos of him lovingly taking his girlfriend in a bikini on vacation also caused public opinion to discuss.
In a rare sharing with the media, Quang Minh once admitted that he did not have many opportunities to be close to his two children after the divorce.
"I haven't seen my children for a year, even though I still text regularly. I know they are angry with me, but I also know they love me very much. No matter what happens between adults, children are always the most disadvantaged. I was very sorry and felt guilty for them.
Every time I see my friends leading my children, I miss them very much. I just hope that they understand me, understand what I have been through.
I am very proud of you. I wish you good health and happiness. No matter what, I always remember and love you very much," the male artist said.
In contrast to the bustling atmosphere in Quang Minh's new life, Hong Dao chose tranquility. At the age of 63, she once shared that she would take the initiative to enter a nursing home when she was old, not wanting to disturb her children. She lives simply, takes care of the garden, exercises and still keeps the fire of her profession by choosing the right roles. In the latest interview with Tuoi Tre Laughing, the female artist admitted that she no longer thinks about love and just wants to focus on her current life.
"I want to live proactively, not letting anyone worry about me," Hong Dao once said. Although she did not directly mention her ex-husband, the fact that the youngest daughter returned to be a companion and caregiver, as a silent reflection of the absolute support from her children for her.
Sophia, born in 2002, used to study at university in the US, lived a closed life and stayed away from the media. Even when asked about the possibility of succeeding her mother, she flatly refused. However, this appearance in Vietnam marks a new turning point. No one knows if Sophia intends to pursue an artistic path or not, but the choice to accompany her mother during this period is said to be symbolic â as a statement of family choice and the mother's priority in her daughter's heart.
It is not difficult to notice, while Hong Dao is still quietly working and keeping a simple rhythm of life, Quang Minh seems to have completely changed direction. His current life revolves around his new girlfriend and young son. He appeared at his girlfriend's family gatherings, took care of her stepchildren, and was even called a "dedicated father" by the media when taking his stepson on a picnic.
However, what worries the public is not Quang Minh's current happiness, but the gap between him and his daughters.
Quang Minh's daughter returned home to support Hong Dao, determined not to meet her father, her stepmother made a shocking statement Bảo Nam20:34:48 30/07/2025On the afternoon of July 29, artist Hong Dao officially released her next movie, Mang Me Di Bo, marking her emotional return to the big screen. The event attracted the attention of the media and audience.
