Stars are busy preparing for Christmas, one of the biggest holidays of the year. While Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa all "follow the trend" of using red to accent their holiday looks, Rosé has a different choice.
BLACKPINK's Lisa sends Christmas greetings to fans and her pets. The Rockstar singer shows off her sweet beauty, using red socks with Christmas motifs as a highlight for her look. Her pet dog Love is also mixed and matched with lovely red accessories.
BLACKPINK's Jennie treats everyone to a series of beautiful looks in a Christmas series. The Korean IT-girl promotes the trendy dark red color. The female idol's favorite balletcore trend "takes over the airwaves".
Jisoo made a lasting impression with her ladylike look on Christmas. The female idol wore a black pumpkin-style dress with a matching bow. The "eldest sister" of BLACKPINK looked elegant thanks to her low bun and light makeup. The owner of the song Flower upgraded her look with white fishnet stockings, red accents on her doll shoes and nails.
Rosé is the BLACKPINK member with the most unique Christmas look. The female idol checked in next to the Christmas tree in a green outfit. The owner of the hit song APT. combined a shirt, vest with brown motorcycle boots that "made waves" throughout the winter.
The highlight of the look is the number one gir.l medal of the jewelry brand for which she is the global ambassador.
Two years ago, Christmas fell on the same day that Blackpink performed their BORN PINK concert in Amsterdam. The four girls surprised tens of thousands of spectators when they appeared on stage wearing Santa Claus outfits. Not only that, the YG girls also performed the song Last Christmas as a special Christmas gift for their fans.
Not only did she have a different choice from the other members, Rosé also received great news right on Christmas, making the other members jealous.
Accordingly, Gallup Korea - a prestigious market research company in Korea - recently announced the "Song of the Year" 2024 ranking.
Gallup's survey, conducted from July to November 2024, asked 5,281 individuals aged 13 and older across South Korea (excluding Jeju Island) to name up to three of their favorite songs in 2024.
The rankings are clearly divided between votes from audiences over and under 40 years old.
According to the survey results, for the group of Koreans under 40 years old (13-39 years old), songs by Kpop groups and solo idols dominate the Top 10.
"APT." by Rosé (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars was the most popular song, with 9.8% of the votes. It was also the only K-pop idol song to make it into the Top 10 voted by audiences in their 50s.
The next positions in the Top 10 songs of the year voted by audiences under 40 years old are "Supernova" by aespa (7.2% of votes), "How Sweet" by NewJeans (5.9%), "HEYA" by IVE (5.3%), "Happy" by DAY6 (4.7%), "Through the Night" by IU (4.3%), "Hype Bo.y" by NewJeans (4.1%), "Bam Yang Gang" by BIBI (3.7%), "Love Wins All" by IU (2.7%), "Supernatural" by NewJeans (2.5%).
NewJeans is the artist with the most songs in the Top 10 (3 songs). While Rosé is the only Kpop group member with a song in the Top 10.
Since Gallup Korea's survey began in 2007, only two songs by female solo artists have been awarded the title of "Song of the Year." They are IU's "Meaning Of You" (2014) and Rosé's "APT." (2024).
Released more than 2 months ago, but the international achievements of "APT." are still very impressive.
Recently, "APT." has topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts for the 9th consecutive week. Rosé set a record as the Asian artist with the longest Top 1 record on this chart.
