The online community was moved when a clip recording the image of singer Vu Tram Anh, the singer who once "made waves" on stages in the Western region, was widely spread.
In the video, the female singer appears simple, without makeup, diligently serving in a small coffee shop.
That image surprised many people, because few people thought that the person once known as the "Queen of the Western Fair" now had such a difficult life.
According to the clip, after many incidents, Vu Tram Anh's family went bankrupt, forcing her to temporarily put aside the spotlight to make a living by working as a waitress in a coffee shop and a hotel cleaner. She did not mind cleaning and serving drinks, just hoping to earn extra income to cover her living expenses.
Vu Tram Anh shared: "I encountered many incidents, my family's business failed, my husband and I also failed. My husband did this and that and then collapsed, went bankrupt. Then I listened to advice to invest in virtual currency online, lost quite a lot. Listening to my friends, I also wanted to earn money back. So I invested in virtual currency, like investing 100 million would get 700 - 800 million or something like that. Then I also lost some money, in general I also suffered a few incidents like that."
Before retiring behind the scenes, Vu Tram Anh was a familiar face to audiences in the West. Born into a family with an artistic tradition, her father was a famous show producer, often organizing performances for audiences in the river region. Nurtured in that environment, Tram Anh soon revealed her singing talent and had a passion for the stage from a very young age.
In the 2000s, the name Vu Tram Anh was all over the fairs and provincial stages. She impressed with her sweet voice, fresh appearance and vibrant performance style. Songs like Lac Dau, Alo Em Nho Anh, Yeu Chang Dep Trai... became "hits" at one time, memorized by young people all over the West. Thanks to that, she was affectionately called "fair queen" by the audience, a title that few artists have achieved in the popular music genre.
Not only stopping at local stages, Tram Anh also collaborated with many famous artists, including comedian Bao Chung, to make joint music products. However, when the audience's taste changed, the music genre she pursued gradually lost its appeal. The fiercely competitive music market and the rise of a new generation of singers caused Vu Tram Anh's name to gradually fade away.
After the spotlight, she chose a quieter path, continuing to sing at fairs and rural art shows. It was no longer a brightly lit stage, but a place where she could live her passion and retain a bit of the warmth of her career. In the clip, the female singer also expressed her longing for the music stage, hoping to return to perform for the audience.
Now, when her life is no longer tied to the stage lights, Vu Tram Anh still maintains an optimistic smile. Time and hardship may fade her beauty, but they cannot extinguish her determination and faith. The image of a once famous mother, now quietly working to raise her children and nurture her singing dream, touches the hearts of many audiences.
