The last message the 25-year-old diplomat sent to his lover before he died

The exceptionally serious case that resulted in the deaths of two women in Lac Dao commune (Hung Yen province) not only shocked people with its brutality but also exposed a harsh hidden aspect: the helplessness of a family in the face of their wayward child.
The alleyways were deserted, and fear enveloped everything.
Following the horrific crime, the peaceful rhythm of life in Lac Dao commune was suddenly replaced by an atmosphere of suffocating tension. From one end of the village to the other, people only dared to whisper amongst themselves, their faces still showing shock. The small alleys became unusually quiet, houses were closed and locked, and people avoided going out as much as possible because of the haunting memory of the cold-blooded act of the suspect, Kieu Ngoc Anh (born in 1999).
In the neighborhood where the suspect lived, neighbors still couldn't believe the truth. For them, the past few months had been a long series of uncertainties, living next to a "ticking time bomb."
"Chaining a child's feet to find peace" – The tragedy of helplessness.
Sharing with reporters, Ms. NTHT (a neighbor) tearfully recounted the tragic circumstances of Kieu Ngoc Anh's family. Few knew that, in exchange for brief moments of peace, the suspect's parents had to resort to the most extreme measure: chaining their child's feet in a room at the back of the house.
"She suffered so much, living in fear for many years," Ms. T. shared about the suspect's mother. Despite Ngoc Anh's parents' tireless efforts, from working abroad to moving south to build a better future for their son, all they received in return was the delinquency and addiction of their only son.
It is known that Ngoc Anh had been addicted for many years and had been sent to rehabilitation centers and reform schools by his family many times. However, each time he returned home after serving his sentence, the "demon" inside him would resurface even stronger. The drug-induced psychotic episodes caused him to lose control, frequently threatening and attacking his own parents with a knife.
The neighborhood's lingering haunting.
Not only family members, but also those around them have been victims or witnesses of aggression. Ms. T. recounted the terrifying moment when she witnessed Ngoc Anh wielding a weapon and attempting to attack her own mother: "Hearing the cries for help, I ran over but only dared to stand outside the gate; no one dared to intervene because she was so ferocious."
In the past, this individual even unexpectedly jumped from a wall to attack workers leaving their shifts for no apparent reason. His mental instability and severe addiction made Ngoc Anh a terror to the entire neighborhood.
A bitter ending for the elderly.
On the morning of January 15th, after committing a shocking murder that resulted in the deaths of two women, Kieu Ngoc Anh surrendered to the police in Nhu Quynh commune. While authorities are urgently consolidating the case file, back home, the suspect's elderly father appears to have completely broken down.
The image of the father sitting and weeping silently as he watches his son's peers grow up and settle down is heartbreaking. The hope of his son turning his life around has vanished, replaced by torment and a harsh legal sentence awaiting him.
This incident serves as a costly warning about the devastating consequences of drugs and the shortcomings in managing and educating drug addicts within the community.
