After leaving HYBE for more than a year, Youngseo has joined The Black Label and is preparing to debut in the company's first mixed group. She recently shared some interesting things about her time after leaving the "big guy".
The Korean entertainment industry is buzzing with news about a new group called Allday Project from The Black Label â a company headed by Teddy . Not only attracting attention with their unique male-female model, the group also attracts attention because of two members with extremely special backgrounds and journeys, Youngseo and Annie Moon . The video introducing the members released on June 13th revealed the challenging hidden corners on the path to pursuing their passion.
Youngseo: The Long Road from HYBE to a New Beginning at The Black Label
Youngseo, born in 2005, is one of the most notable faces of Allday Project. Before officially appearing, she was the center of many rumors about debuting in girl groups of YG Entertainment, The Black Label, or even High Up Entertainment.
Youngseoâs journey to becoming an idol was a series of endless challenges. She spent about 6-7 years as a trainee at various companies. In 2019, she joined Source Music (a subsidiary of HYBE), starting to train with members of the N-Team project group, including the faces who are currently members of NewJeans.
However, after N-Team delayed their debut, Youngseo is said to have left Source Music around 2022. In 2023, she appeared on the idol audition program "RU Next?", eventually placing 2nd overall and being included in ILLIT 's pre-debut lineup.
However, fate still seemed to want to test Youngseo. In January 2024, just about 2 months before ILLIT's debut, Belift Lab suddenly announced that the exclusive contract with the female idol had ended after discussions. To this day, fans are still curious about the reason why she left inexplicably right before her debut.
In The Black Label's video, Youngseo did not explain the reason for leaving the ILLIT lineup, but only mentioned that after leaving HYBE, she was quite worried because she was a bit older than the average trainee at that time, and did not know what to do next.
Luckily, Youngseo quickly regained her composure, applied to other companies, and successfully auditioned for The Black Label. She shared her love of music from a young age and soon realized that "being a celebrity is great", affirming that being an idol suits her personality very well.
Annie: Samsung's young lady overcomes all obstacles to live her dream
Besides Youngseo, member Annie Moon (real name Moon Seo Yoon, born in 2002) is especially notable for her "noble" background. However, Annie's journey to pursue her dream of becoming a singer was not smooth from the beginning when she had to fight fiercely against her family's objections to be able to debut in the group Allday Project.
Annie shared that when she was 7 years old, she accidentally watched the MV "Lollipop" by 2NE1 and BIGBANG, a new world opened up before her eyes. At that time, the young lady was determined "to definitely do what she wanted like them".
One day, Annie Moon told her mother about her desire to become a singer, and she just laughed and said, "That's ridiculous." That answer made her think that she couldn't pursue a singing career. About 2-3 years later, Annie once again had a more serious talk with her mother, but was rejected again, which made her feel quite hurt.
When Annie Moon was in 11th and 12th grade, her family strongly opposed her. However, she still refused to give up. Seeing her daughter's burning determination, her mother finally made a condition: If she passed the university entrance exam, she would convince her family to let her become a singer.
From then on, Annie Moon devoted herself to studying day and night, even skipping sleep. Finally, she was admitted to Columbia University, the most prestigious university in the US. The "Samsung Princess" confessed that her mother did not believe she could do it, because she was in the dance studio every day and everyone said she did not spend any time studying.
Rosé's junior group revealed, "Samsung princess" is struggling, predicting a disastrous flop Hướng Dương21:04:44 10/06/2025Having cherished her dream of entering showbiz for a long time, the Samsung princess has only now realized it.
