Quach Ngoc Ngoan talks about debt of 20 billion, shares the labor journey of rebuilding life

Quach Ngoc Ngoan revealed that he still hasn't finished settling the debt from 4 years ago. The actor has to work many jobs to make a living, maintain his life and pay off debts, trying to start over.

Once considered a prominent face of the Vietnamese screen, Quach Ngoc Ngoan surprised many people when he publicly announced that he was facing a debt of more than 20 billion VND. In April 2023, Quach Ngoc Ngoan admitted that he was carrying a debt of more than 20 billion VND after investing in a ferret farm model and planting trees in Ca Mau. The Covid-19 pandemic brought his business to a standstill, capital was congested, and the project failed, leaving him facing heavy consequences.

Not shying away, the actor shared frankly: "I'm a failed man. My life is no longer the same as before, I have lost the freedom to bounce around or gather with a few friends to talk about my career and life."

After publicizing the incident, he actively contacted creditors to agree to pay in installments. Instead of running away or blaming, Quach Ngoc Ngoan chooses to face reality, ask for more time and try to make money with all possible jobs. This action received the sympathy and support of the audience, because not everyone in showbiz dares to tell the truth about their failures.

After a period of silence, Quach Ngoc Ngoan gradually returned to art – the field that made his name. The actor has appeared in a number of new projects, among which "Heaven's Treasure" by director Le Thanh Son and "The Lame Heart" by director Quoc Cong.
