The president of Miss Grand International confirmed that transgender billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip has left her entire position at the Miss Universe organization. This beauty contest is preparing to enter a major restructuring phase.

In a recent livestream, Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil – President of Miss Grand International – officially confirmed the information that transgender billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip no longer holds any executive positions at the Miss Universe Organization (MUO). This announcement means the end of the Thai businesswoman's nearly three-year leadership period at the globally renowned beauty pageant.

According to Mr. Nawat, Ms. Anne has completely withdrawn from the management of MUO and no longer has authority related to the organization's operations. He emphasized that Anne does not currently have the right to sign legal documents, make strategic decisions or participate in any of Miss Universe's executive work. This meant that, both legally and operationally, Anne was no longer involved in the governance of the organization.

Despite the change at the leadership level, Mr. Nawat affirmed that the Miss Universe organization is still operating stably. According to him, MUO is still operated as a normal international business and the organization's headquarters are still located in New York City. Preparatory activities for the next seasons of this beauty pageant are still going on as planned.

In addition, Mr. Nawat also revealed that the current ownership of the Miss Universe organization still belongs to Mexican businessman Raul Rocha Cantu. According to published information, Mr. Raul Rocha remains the main controlling shareholder of MUO, and the organization's activities continue to operate under this ownership structure.

The President of Miss Grand International said that in the near future, the Miss Universe organization will conduct a large-scale restructuring to stabilize the management apparatus. This reshuffle process includes building a new leadership team as well as adjusting the development strategy in the next phase. According to the plan, official information about the new executive structure is expected to be announced in early April.

Anne Jakrajutatip's story once attracted great attention in the global beauty industry. In October 2022, she – as the leader of JKN Global Group – surprised the public by announcing the acquisition of the Miss Universe organization for about $20 million. This deal is considered an important milestone when for the first time a transgender businesswoman takes over the management of a prestigious beauty contest.

However, just over a year later, the financial situation of JKN Global Group faced many difficulties. By January 2024, Anne was forced to sell 50% of Miss Universe's shares to Mr. Raul Rocha Cantu to reduce financial pressure. Previously, in November 2023, JKN Group filed for bankruptcy and business restructuring, exactly one year after completing the acquisition of Miss Universe.

The upheavals continue in June 2025 when Anne Jakrajutatip leaves her position at JKN Global Group. The reason came from the fact that she was accused by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of falsifying the company's financial records. The agency imposed a fine of 4.1 million baht, or about $119,000, and banned her from holding directorial or managerial positions for a period of 56 months. After that, she also officially left Miss Universe in October of the same year.

Before retiring from the management system, Anne Jakrajutatip cooperated with Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil and appointed him as the executive director of the competition. According to this agreement, Mr. Nawat and the crew of Miss Grand International are responsible for organizing the Miss Universe 2025 season.
