Singer Ma Thai Son, a beloved singer, passed away on November 26 at the age of 51. This news, shared by his relatives, left many colleagues and audiences shocked and saddened.

Ma Thai Son has been suffering from a long-term illness for many years, with severe kidney failure and tricuspid valve regurgitation. Despite his health being severely impaired, his legs swelling, and the need for regular dialysis, he still persevered in performing to make a living, maintaining his passion for the profession and connecting with his audience. More than a month ago, his health suddenly worsened, forcing his relatives and friends to take him to the emergency room at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital.

During his treatment, Ma Thai Son had no immediate family by his side and was cared for by his aunt. Due to his difficult circumstances, his treatment expenses were largely covered by his colleagues and friends.

His close friend, Da Thao My, once shared: "Ma Thai Son's case is serious and critical condition can happen at any time, especially during dialysis and surgical treatment." Previously, on November 13, Da Thao My recounted the emotional scene of Ma Thai Son receiving help from colleagues and the audience: "He could not hold back his tears, nor could he hide his happiness. Happiness because life and death were close in poverty. He said that his life owed a lot to everyone, thanks to the love of brothers and sisters everywhere who joined hands to save him from death. There were loves halfway around the world, never met, but still helped him without hesitation."

Also on November 13, Ma Thai Son had to undergo a second surgery to separate the necrotic flesh and graft skin. The surgery was lengthy, requiring the medical team to carefully check to avoid missing any damaged parts. Previously, on November 12, he also had complications from a fungal infection in the blood, requiring a 7-day treatment course with a cost of up to 35 million VND. During this time, Ma Thai Son and the medical team fought for every moment of his life. Thanks to the timely intervention of the doctor and the financial support of his colleagues, he had the opportunity to maintain his health during the most difficult days.

Ma Thai Son's funeral was held in Hamlet 54, Binh Hung Commune. After the funeral, his coffin was cremated at Da Phuoc Vien Cemetery, ending a life journey full of effort, passion and love for music.

According to information posted on the personal page with the obituary, due to difficult circumstances, the family had to choose cremation (because there was no other choice).
