The marriage, which lasted more than three decades, between renowned singer Tuan Ngoc and singer Thai Thao officially came to an end following a ruling by the California Superior Court, Orange County (USA), leaving many fans feeling regretful.
Singer Thai Thao directly filed for divorce from renowned singer Tuan Ngoc at the California Superior Court (USA). According to the published legal documents, the reason for this decision stems from irreconcilable differences between the couple. The divorce petition clearly states that the marriage has been in a prolonged deadlock, and that reconciliation efforts and family counseling have proven ineffective, leading to a complete breakdown of the marital relationship. This is considered the legal basis for the court to consider terminating the marriage according to California family law.
Court documents indicate that Tuan Ngoc and Thai Thao registered their marriage on June 30, 2003, and officially separated on March 25, 2023. In the divorce application, information regarding their cohabitation period, marital status, and other legal aspects was fully disclosed in accordance with local law. Notably, the two artists have no children under 18, therefore issues related to child custody, alimony, or legal responsibility for children are not within the scope of this case.
The fact that both parties reached an agreement before the court's final ruling on July 17, 2025, shows that both Tuan Ngoc and Thai Thao chose to resolve the divorce amicably, minimizing disputes. This is also an increasingly common trend, helping parties avoid prolonged litigation and reduce unnecessary psychological pressure.
Throughout their years together, and even after news of their divorce spread, both Tuan Ngoc and Thai Thao maintained a discreet attitude, refraining from making any public statements to the media. This silence partly reflects the calm and measured demeanor of veteran artists who have been long-time contributors to Vietnamese music.
