In recent days, social networks have been abuzz with a recording said to be of Hong Loan - daughter of the late artist Vu Linh - talking about Maika, daughter of artist Kim Tu Long, with words that are considered to have hidden meanings.
The recording, although only lasting just over a minute, has created a wave of fierce controversy.
In the recording that went viral, the voice said to be Hong Loan said: "I heard Ni say that Maika asked Ni to livestream to sell tickets for her. See how disgusting it is, taking advantage of Ni. Say no, mom. Say no. It's so funny, if she made it, she would promote it herself, or she would do something for herself, why would she take advantage of it? Oh my god, she's just like her mother."
Although it was just a statement, it caused the online community to be divided into many different opinions. One side thought that Hong Loan was a bit harsh, the other side said that the recording might have been edited and did not reflect the true context. From there, a series of speculations broke out, claiming that there was an internal conflict between the children of the famous cai luong artist.
On social media, many people also believe that the person who released the recording was Bich Tram - a person who had a close relationship with both Hong Loan and Maika. However, when appearing on livestream, Bich Tram completely denied it.
While the story was still being pushed in many directions, Maika - the character mentioned in the recording - had a rather calm reaction. She shared that at first she was a bit sad and confused because she did not understand the reason for being dragged into the noise, but after calming down, she chose to look at things more lightly.
Maika said: "When there are noisy things happening, it's really inevitable that there will be times when I feel sad. But thinking back, that's an old story. At that time, we may not have understood each other, but now we will be closer because when entering this drama, Loan will be wary of many people, not just her. Then when we have time to interact with each other, we will understand each other better."
She also affirmed that she has never said anything bad about anyone, and sent a message to those who are trying to push the matter further: "There are comments saying that I said Mr. Ty and Ms. Bich Tram. When did I say anything? Oh my god, I have never said anything bad about anyone. Don't say that, it's nonsense. I didn't hurt anyone. I also want to send a message to those who don't love me, or want to trample on me, I say to get rid of those thoughts."
Maika's sharing was praised by many viewers for her civilized and calm attitude amidst the noise. Instead of reacting harshly or criticizing back, she chose to sympathize, believing that all misunderstandings stem from not truly understanding each other.
In contrast to Maika's calmness, Hong Loan's side remained silent, neither confirming nor denying that she was the person in the recording. This made the public even more curious, but at the same time it also showed that she might be choosing to stay silent to let the matter die down. Some fans of the late artist Vu Linh also spoke up to defend his daughter, saying that everything should be stopped to avoid affecting the image of the deceased.
